The Ninety-Nine Restaurant provided a cook-out to 500 youth members during our Kids Against Violence Day. Our youth members enjoyed a day interacting with law enforcement officials and participating in workshops as well has playing games. We thank the Lawrence Police Department for their continued support of the Club.

The Billy Robertson Awards were presented to two individuals at the Annual Meeting on May 27th; Louise P. MacMillan and Shirley Clark. The Billy Robertson Award was originated for those people who do great things for our kids. It is in honor our the Club’s Director of Operations who has been working at the Club since 1977. The award recognizes unsung heroes at the Club and the impact they make in the life of a child – all behind the scenes. + Read More

Before a crowd of close to 1,000 people, Enterprise Bank named the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence Non Profit of the Year. There were over 350 nominations for all categories in their Celebration of Excellence Program held on May 5th at the Lowell Auditorium. + Read More

400 people came together last evening, April 10th and raised over $400,000 to support the educational and recreational programs provided to the youth of Lawrence! Thank you to all who participated and helped make the event a success!

Raytheon and the New England Patriots held a competition among Massachusetts Boys & Girls Clubs. A team of engineers worked with our kids for 6 months and went to Gillette Stadium on April 25th to compete. The Gearheads were chosen based upon their knowledge of the science behind their project and that every member of the team participated in the presentation. + Read More

Pedro Vasquez was named Boy of the Year for 2009. Pedro graduated from Lawrence High School where he scored in the top 5% on the MCAS state exam. He earned a full academic scholarship at Salem State for this incredible achievement. + Read More

Roselee Mohika was named Girl of the Year for 2009. Rosie is the valedictorian of her class at Notre Dame High School where she also served as captain of the basketball team. She is an active member of the Club volunteering as a Keystone member, Buddies Program mentor, and many other activities. + Read More
In the past 10 years 1,300 girls have participated in our teen-pregnancy prevention program and only two (0.2%) have become pregnant as teenagers.
