BGCL Hosts Free Career Fair on May 15

April 29, 2019

The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence invites students in seventh grade through high school to its fourth annual career fair on Wednesday, May 15, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., at the club located at 136 Water St. in Lawrence.

Representatives from more than 50 professions are scheduled to attend. The event is free and open to teens throughout Greater Lawrence.

"Academic success is one of the cornerstones of our club, and a priority is making students aware of all possible career options," said Billy Robertson, operations director at the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence.

"Our club staff and volunteers assist youth members every step of the way through the college application process, but it can be particularly overwhelming for students who don't have a clear career direction," he added. "There's no substitute for getting to ask about certification, education requirements, internship opportunities and other general information from the professionals who actually work in their fields of interest."

Registration is not required.
