Meet Liah; the sweet, smiley girl

In our Mikey the Therapy Dog email, we talked about how some members love reading him books. One of those members is Liah, age 7!

Liah is known as the sweet smiley girl by staff members. Some of her favorite activities at the Club are yoga, science, and art. She even got to make a mask out of clay!

“I love the Club because it helps me with my homework and education,” says Liah.

Every day after school, Liah goes straight to the homework room to get her work done. Afterward, she enjoys reading to the volunteers, Mikey, or with one of her favorite staff members, Karen, our Director of Education.

Liah says that she wants to become either a singer, professional ballerina, or a waitress at her dad’s restaurant when she gets older.

In just one year at The Club, she has made herself known. She can’t wait to learn and grow more as a member.
