Where in the world will the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence auction take you? How about lounging at a beachfront villa in Mexico? Watching the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots from the field at Gillette Stadium? Scoring a hole-in-one at Old Head Golf Links in Ireland? Or singing along to Bruno Mars from a private suite?
Bidding is open now at http://bidpal.net/bgcl2017 for the club's largest annual fundraiser, which takes place on Saturday, April 1 at 5:30 p.m. at DiBurro's in Haverhill. The Ancient Greece-themed event includes cocktails, dinner, and live and silent auctions with dozens of coveted items including an autographed Tom Brady jersey, concert and sports tickets, fine dining packages, jewelry, and a coveted wine collection. Tickets cost $200, and tables of 10 are available.
Even if you can't attend this premier social event, you can still show your support by bidding now and purchasing or selling raffle tickets - $100 for a chance to win $5,000! Or consider making a Feed the Need donation to provide a nutritious supper for club kids every night of the week for the entire year.
Last year's auction raised a significant portion of the club's annual operating budget, providing critical programs focusing on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and community involvement for more than 4,400 youth members. The four-year high school graduation rate is 72 percent in Lawrence, but 100 percent among club kids.
86% of the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence’s income comes through donations from individuals, corporations, organiztions, foundations and special events.
