Support BGCL Golf Tournament on June 19 in Andover

May 08, 2017

It's time to dust off your golf clubs for the area's premier event benefiting a good cause. The 38th annual Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, June 19 at Indian Ridge Country Club located at 73 Lovejoy Road in Andover.

The golf tournament raises a significant portion of the annual operating budget for programs focusing on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and community involvement for more than 4,400 youth members at two locations.

"It is the generosity of the individuals and businesses in Greater Lawrence that literally keeps our doors open to the city's most disadvantaged youth," said Markus Fischer, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence.

At the event, attendees have an opportunity to bid on items and experiences that can't be found anywhere else. Silent and live auction items include golf trips, premier sports tickets, autographed memorabilia, and In With Kids providing a child with club membership plus supper every night.

Non-golfers may show their support by sponsoring the event, attending the dinner, donating auction items, and purchasing tickets for the William T. Bride Memorial 50/50 Raffle: $10 per ticket or three for $25, with presence not required to win.

The golf tournament features morning and afternoon start times, meals and continuous refreshments along the course, chair massages, complimentary photos, a dozen golf balls, gift bags, prizes, and raffles. Numerous sponsorships levels are available to showcase local companies while supporting the youth of Lawrence.
