Endowment Funding

The Club launched a highly successful capital campaign in 2004 to build a new facility to expand our offerings for kids to learn and grow. We’d now like to establish an endowment to provide a stable foundation that provides the resources our youth members need to succeed in life.

Why an endowment:

  • To provide consistent support for important programs
  • Make our most important programs permanent and not totally dependent on the amount of annual fund support we can raise each year
  • Provide income for ongoing maintenance of the Club’s facility

Our Successes:

  • Our kids are graduating from high school and going on to college
  • Our kids are making good decisions – avoiding teen pregnancy, drug and alcohol abuse, and gang violence
  • Our kids are giving back to the community and serving as role models
  • Our kids have goals and aspirations and are achieving them in the workplace

Direct IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
IRA Rollover contributions are a tax-advantaged way to donate.  People who are age 70.5 or older can contribute up to $100,000 from their IRA directly to a charity and avoid paying income taxes on the distribution.  It is limited to IRAs, and there are other exclusions and considerations as well.  For those who are at least 72, QCDs count toward the IRA owner’s required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year. Consult with your tax advisor.

Planned Giving

Donors of planned gifts qualify for membership in our Heritage Club program. The most common planned gift is a testamentary gift through a will or estate. Planned gift options include:

  • Gifts in a will or living trust (remainder or lead trusts)
  • Gifts of a new or existing insurance policy
  • Beneficiary designations on a life insurance policy
  • Gifts of financial accounts
  • Gifts of retirement benefits, e.g., IRA direct rollover. Neither you nor your heirs nor your estate will pay income taxes on the distribution of the assets.

Additional details regarding our Heritage Club program are available here. For more information or to arrange a confidential gift planning consultation – without obligation – please contact Paul Grand Pre, Chief Development Officer, at or 978-683-2742, x118.

In-Kind Donations

Donors can assist the Club by donating trips/vacation homes, sports and theater/concert tickets, restaurant gift certificates, etc., for our annual fundraising events. Donations of toys, games, books, winter clothing, and gift cards for our annual Christmas Party are also greatly appreciated. Please contact our Special Event Director, Sarah Hogue, at or 978-683-2747, x128.

We need and are grateful to donors who provide products or services. Because of the high volume of kids using supplies and products, we must ask that items be new. Some of the in-kind donations in constant need are:

Supplies for our programs

Back-to-school supplies like pencils, crayons and books, sneakers, basketball uniforms, basketballs, bathing suits – we need them all! For more information, please contact Associate Director Billy Robertson at or at 978-683-2747, x 114.

Donated services

Consider donating valuable (and always in demand) skills like copy editing, graphic design, legal services, public relations messaging, counseling, coaching, and referee services. For more information, please contact Executive Director Markus Fischer at
